This still-growing collage series was started early in the COVID-19 lockdown.

 

These smaller works are made of vintage dog racing booklets that date back to the 1960s.

Dog racing is not a sport I endorse, but the backdrop of typography, numerical garnishes, competitor names, hand markings, and patina of the paper made for an irresistable reclaimed resource.

 

Each composition is made from

hand-painted and cut paper and infused with balance, tension, and play.
